I enjoyed this a lot! It's a biography of a sapphic couple. The last chapter was bittersweet even if it gave me a shock with what it included. (SPOILER:.............The main couple broke up)
"incredibly transphobic" i understand that the way her ftm friends act is kind of strange today but not everyone has the same relationship to their deadname and sex assigned at birth and its such a non-issue that they call themselves trannies or say that they used to be women or whatever. also like. her friends would have told her that she was being insensitive if they believed she was! she constantly refers to them as men and theres even a point where she talks about how ftms and lesbians are different because ftms are men! sachiko is the biggest trans ally i love her for that. rant aside im a big big fan of this it feels so authentic and its so beautiful to see how queer people were doing well even 20 years ago!!!!
