Oh boy. I feel bad for FL. She has very little self worth. ML was more obsessed about her heritage and protecting it than knowing her. Each time she tried he was like you are spoilt blah blah. Bro she was 12 year old orphan whom you ditched in bad school, whose self-worth was 0 and whose one attempt at becoming independent and live normal life was taken away. A part of me is glad that she will not die on road as girl does seem to have capacity to attract jerks. ML is greatest example. Also she looked cute in that first dress. She is young and it is her birthday.

My God, that was awful! There were so many things that were totally wrong. That idiot ML was obsessed and disgusting. Never listened to her, destroyed her self confidence, and when she told him how she was abused, he got furious and told her she was spoiled and didn't know what real abuse was. He isolated her completely, proposed to her in a public venue so she couldn't say anything other than yes without making a scene. He made it clear that she was his possession. She should have started running, kept running, and never looked back.
That was terrible!!! ML left FL for 10 years while she got verbal abuse as a child. He forced her to marry him and thinking he is doing the right thing??? The biggest idiot is the FL for forgiving him and always unnecessary apologizing to ML and why did she fall in love with him so easily when she hasn’t seen him for 10YEARS!!!!! Sucky harlequin
