I speed ran through this. Bestfriend didn't get the closure he needed. Too fast and shallow? Is that right. It has a plot that I would forget and wouldn't matter even if i forget
Hahahhaah i forgot the plot. I think mc is a cleaner, blonde is an asshole, confess? End
I gave the story 3 stars but keep in mind this is more like a 2.5 star story. I just rounded it up.
If I fucked a dude and he immediately kicked me out with that fuck ass attitude Jeon Yuncheon had, I'd have never fallen in love with him. Paying "for the sex" as if I'm a whore and then kicking me out, making me walk an hour away back home . . . That's crazy. Han Jaemin don't love himself.
This was a very simple, straightforward story. A guy has a one-night stand with a man who has a terrible attitude and then finds out his new boss is that same man. It's funny, it's cute, it's relatively inoffensive. I didn't really like Yuncheon's attitude, it wasn't too endearing to me, and I thought the switch from him acting rude to him being all cute and flustered was kind of random and unearned.
However with the light-hearted tone this story has, those complaints aren't really heavy. They aren't huge blows to the story. This is a short comedy, so his attitude isn't treated all that seriously nor is what he actually does all that bad. He's just a bit stuck-up, a bit careless. You're not meant to think he's terrible you're just meant to laugh at how these two act around each other. And while I never really properly liked him as a person, as a character he was kinda funny and bounced off Jaemin well.
I liked the dynamic between these two. It was funny, and at times even cute. They had a few cute moments between them, a few funny moments; I liked the running gag of Jeon Yuncheon having him cook all types of food only to not want it. It exasperated him and that was pretty comedic. I never really laughed but it got a little smile out of me, which is better than nothing.
The story has two kind of big issues for me, though; one being the open and unnecessary plot-line about Han Jaemin's friend liking him. He was going to confess, got interrupted, and then that moment never really got any resolution. It kind of just leaves me asking why? Why even include it?
The second issue is what I said earlier, I just don't really think Yuncheon liking Jaemin was developed well. It came out of nowhere, it felt very rushed. What exactly does he like about him? His ass? Because that's what I felt like it was, and that's obviously pretty dissatisfying for a relationship.
