A Cruel God Rules in Heaven - MASTERPIECE, an Award-winning work by Hagio Moto, one of the pioneers of BL. In fact, this deep and mature story is a valuable icon of psychological BL for me.
Content: Child Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Rape, Drugs, Dark Ambience, Mind Break, Sadistic Pedophile, PTSD, Murder, Prostitution -
Maybe not everyone can take such a heavy story, it could be disturbing for someone, but I think it depicts, in an exemplary way, those harsh aspects (more in my comment)
This is a manga that not everyone can appreciate: it's a deep story with dark ambience; it could be difficult to follow the timeline, as there is a non-linear storytelling. It's philosophical, there are many reflections and notions; it's so brainstorming. The art is also particular, maybe not everybody will like it. In fact, I read some negative comments about this, but I think this art style is in perfect sync with the athmosphere of the story. So, even if some may think the
5 for the first story: Religion // Cult // Drugs // Priest x Brainwashed Drug Addict who needs salvation.
Despite having been confined and chained, Father Ross wants to save the young Cliff, who didn't believe in anything anymore and ultimately followed the wrong path because he was brainwashed and thought that was the right way. This story is so touching, cause sometimes you're in the dark even without knowing and you just need someone that gives you a hand to find light again
I really liked the main story, tragic but beautiful at the same time. Also the parallel world part was really cute. Anyway it left me with so many emotions that it's even hard to put it into words. Just thinking about how they fell in love with each other in that cruel world moves me...reading this was a journey of emotions
➤ Prequel: I: Episode 0
With this short but deep story, Harada sensei showed what really means to be gay or, more in general, be "different" from others, taking into consideration how the look of the characters was designed. Sensei wanted to make us reflect on discrimination against those seen as "not normal" by society. I think this is the core of this beautiful oneshot.
"What is normal?" - The questions Miki asked himself are very important. In fact, thinking about it, it's
Sixteen/Juuroku - oneshot included in Kiss Kiss Kiss
➸ Naoki's mother wants to remarry. At first, the fifteen year old boy is concerned about it, because not only the fiance is younger than her, but he seems to like men as well. When he finally meets Kouno, the man who's supposed to become his step-father, he comes to think that he's actually a good guy, but he also starts feeling attracted to the man!
Obviously, the fact that Kouno is actually bisexual generates curiosity
The Seven Things I'm Sorry For -and then you cried for my sake-
"Stuttering, recluse Tooru believes he has seven things he's sorry for. His twin brother Satoru knows all but the seventh... the very one that may shatter their way of life" - The author chose a heavy theme, that of an abusive parent, to create such a deep twincest story: this gave a realistic taste, I'd say...sadly, this shit happens also in real life. Sometimes, you can't really comprehend what dr
"Kinaga's act of kindness and friendship is repaid in the most unexpected way" - So unique this oneshot! Apparently, it seems a story of rape and blackmail, but that's not really the case: as pieces are put together through flashbacks, everything becomes clear. I love how the mangaka structured the story to make it seem like that, but then it wasn't really what it seemed! My view of the story changed completely. [SPOILER] Hazaki turns out to be such a baka seme who d

Ch 1 You Were Smiling by Akane Sora - "I want to hurry up and see you" ( T ^ T )♡
I think the other stories will be really sad too, but this surely was beautiful and so was the art! [SPOILER] He wanted to see his dead lover so badly that he decided to die, he couldn't go on living without him anymore, but if only he could see that he was actually right beside
