The spin-off story of the “Secret XXX” story’s couple, featuring their brothers. They are a completely different couple. The red-head character on the cover is the one who makes the relationship sweet. He’s a gem not seen too much in BL material.
Plus, this mangaka has a very pleasing drawing and illustration aesthetic. It takes the intimate scenes to another level for me.
I did not expect to find such a sweet story from this one. I was not even expecting the shounen ai. But, this story pulls off the boy romance well enough that it feels natural and beautiful.
Oh, My, Gosh. Just read the first chapter and you will get the tone of this story. “You could be judgmental, but I don’t wanna hate someone without good reason...then, what I saw was a genuine and pure love. I couldn’t hate that.”
The story and the art is not perfect the whole time. But the story and art is very strong and beautiful. There is one kissing scene I can never forget in its place in the story, how it happened and—perhaps most impactful and complimentary—the artistry of the scene’s color, background and composition. I love the title of this story. It feels like a title with multiple emotional layers for the story it is and what it portrays.
A romance story that feels natural, genuine, and committed. An epitome of finding someone who encompasses you when you are hurt and puts in the effort to make sure you know you are loved. “That’s what relationships are, a cycle of pushing and pulling until a relationship is formed.”
You don’t need any sex to see the deep emotional strings being woven between the romantic pair.
Based on a true story. And the story is such a sweet one that sweeps over years of time.
This story was so impactful in how much the couple didn’t hang on a “I’m head-over-heels in love with you” dynamic from either focal character. I love how there was desire for connection in spite of and in respect for one’s brokenness. The romance was beautiful to watch blossom.
A BL story set in our world with marriage as the focus. A gem of a work for the tone it brings.
This mangaka seems to have a knack for writing romance stories like this one. They have a few other great shounen ai doujinshi of “Haikyuu!!” too. They are also on this list.
A bright and straightforward attitude shines on a reserved one who must sort out both his feelings and what he wants.
