i read this just because of your comment to see what all the fuss was about and... the rape scene was very detailed, in an unnecessary way.
story basically leads up to a very detailed rape scene, hes suicidal for a moment, then hes all better, the end wtf?
and i think it was also mentioned that he is in high school??
this story is very hollow, (both plot and characters) and the only thing that is actually detailed is a rape scene.
it makes me question the true intentions behind this story, especially considering how the author just casually put in that attempt sa and then dubcon at the very beginning like it was nothing.
i just reread this to jog my memory a bit and can you tell me where it shows that he's suddenly all better?
and as i said, my only complain w people is that they will read the fuck out of anything else containing romanticized rape but will be weirded out by this. again, as i mentioned in my original comment, you're totally valid if u find it too graphic. even u calling the characters and plot empty is valid. i was just glad that for once, for once rape was not normalised in a manga and there were atleast some consequences (and i agree that there should have been a lot more). ik this one is far from perfect, and the author could've done a lot better too.
why are people so angry over the rape scene? y'all are okay with it when it's practically glorified/romanticized in the shit stuff u read, but when its actually depicted (atleast somewhat) realistically, it's suddenly, what, disappointing? and you can't stomach it? maybe that was the point.
saying that the rapist should've been punished more is valid. dropping the manga bcs you found it too graphic is also valid. but can you fucking stop shitting on it for depicting something that actually happens??
