It's Naho's insecurities speaking. Naho is an unreliable narrator. The friends never bullied Naho or were ever mean to him, but Naho was misinterpreting their words and actions. If you think about it, Kana has always shown care for Naho, like offering to walk him home when he's upset, checking in with him after noticing Naho acting strange. The one thing that Kana did wrong was calling Naho average in front of his friends. I don't think we ever got an explanation for that.

I don’t think Naho was hallucinating the whole time lmao, they were just being mean to him, but when the friends noticed that Kana started treating him better, they adjusted and stopped the bullying. To begin with, it looked like they were bullying Naho because they thought he was bothering Kana and that he disliked him.
Thanks translator
But I want you guy's opinion on this
Kana loves naho but he makes naho feel like shit inside out and his friends all act like shit heads around naho. Almost to the point of bullying. Yet all of a sudden everything changes to become all happy and normy. And the friends all start to act nice around naho when they legit named him an annoying pursuer of kana who actively stalks kana. How's that make any sense? And for naho, he readily forgives kana who made him feel like shit for how many days. My heart was aching for him the whole time. Yet he just forgives him so easily.
