Axed at chp. 61. I got curious so I double checked the kanji of one of the authors, and its not the same person as the one that wrote Yakushiji Ryouko (the Kanji is off by one character but probably pronounced the same way) . That novel/LN is one of the best LN Ive read and its definitely not as humdrum as this series. It doesnt mean this series is bad, but this series doesnt have the tragic appeal of Kindachi, or nerdiness of the CMB/QED, nor the campy feel of Conan. Mystery novels/series are fairly difficult to compose, so if one does everything by the book, then it feels like an editor wrote the series. The last arc of the series tried to do something similar to Bloody Monday, but thats obviously not the point of the series. At least it went out on a bang.
