You've gotta red the story again then because they explained it perfectly and the one when they showed that Tooru was having sex with his boss was before he met Shinya because if you read the end of that chapter that's when he was going to the beach an THEN he met Shinya
Um, no. lala has it right. It's his JOB to sleep with his boss, he's still working when he's at the beach. He's with Shinya for a while before he finally speaks up to his boss about wanting to wriggle out of the contract.
Unless you really think that he stopped actually doing his job from the day he met Shinya, some strange kid, in a beach cafe.
Most one-shots from this mangaka feel extremely shallow to me. She can do better, I've read better, and there was actually one chapter in this book that actually touched me. The chapters about the "escort" and his teenage lover were ultimately uninteresting to me. (personal taste and all that, though)
Well. Perhaps I missed it. I wound up just clicking through half of a few chapters because the characters weren't catching my interest. What pages of which chapters made clear that the escort stopped doing his job prior to wanting to cancel his contract? (yes, I understand one chapter is a "prequel," that was simple and clear; the fact that he was willing to sleep with another guy entirely while still under contract, prior to meeting Shinya, makes it rather clear that he doesn't feel he needs to be loyal to his boss - he even seduces Shinya by saying sleeping with the boss is his job, but he *wants* to sleep with Shinya and would that be alright?)
Eh... I didn't like it. Like, how he was with his boss and then the other guy at the same time... I really, really prefer monogamous relationships. I just don't like it when a person sleeps with a person and says they love them but then sleeps with other people... And it's weird that the one guy just excepts that his lover sleeps with someone else all the time. I don't know. I'd just be way too jealous for it to work. I couldn't stand it if someone I was with was with someone else.
