Is there any fantasy world recs that focus more on worldbuilding or the slice of life of living in a fantasy world that doesn't stray too far into "arc 3: epic fight, arc 4: epic fight, arc 5: epic fight" i mean they're cool and all but I'm looking for something more slow paced with a MC that actually interacts with the world.
i was reading https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/kamitachi_ni_hirowareta_otoko/ and i had liked the beginning with him surviving in the forest, i also liked him making a unique/niche business in the fantasy world using the slimes, i just got reaaaaallllyyyy turned off by the implication that the little noble girl is a love interest when he is mentally THIRTY-NINE YRS...

Idk exactly what type of recs I'm looking for so I'll just list some things I like about this. it's alright if your rec only has one or a few of what I'm listing:
1. A seme who chooses to be a silly goofy guy but is actually intimidating.
2. A seme who is strong but tries his best to be gentle
3. Perfectionist uke with a mask
4. Rivals (laced with sexual tension) to lovers
5. you can feel their tension, attraction and chemistry through every interaction, even when theyre just acquaintances (like this seme's interest in the uke starting all the way back to that first drinking get-tgt)
6. Uke tries to do difficult things on his own but in the end learns he can trust his friends to protect him
7. Likeable secondary characters (like the chairman's daughter, the coffee guy, uke's work team, even the stalker grew on me)
The reasoning for the major antagonist's, Grace (/Sellonia), whole devious plan is... really a dumb one: ... she's lazy.

So Sellonia, knowing that she has happy future where she defeats demon king and gets all mls without anything bad happening to her, decided to:
- risk potentially injuring or losing her original body, when she's not in control of it.
- risk the not killing the demon lord (which did kinda happenned) and having all people that took part in subjugation dying, as well as whatever would've happened to the rest of the world after that.
- use some voodoo dark magic that not only could backfire on her, but would make both her and her family a lot of enemies once discovered.
All because she was lazy and didn't want to do it herself?

I personally think it's the author that is lazy... The antagonist knows that she's in a novel. If you got isekaied as the MAIN CHARACTER, and YOU KNOW THAT EVERYTHING WILL WORK OUT FOR YOU, what would compel you to use black magic to transfer your soul out of your own body so that someone else can do the hard work for you??? How is that even A THOUGHT in your head like how wld you even come to that conclusion? she knows that if she stayed in the fmc's body (which is hers!) she will be safe because her happy ending is guaranteed! The author cannot convince me that this is a normal thought process, that this is a reasonable justification...
The author tried to do this 'ooo yhhh complex! Ooo plot twist! Bet you didn't see that coming ;)' when a simple reason cldve worked just fine. How many isekai stories have we read where a fmc transmigrates into an extra and takes the ogML?? The author wanted to do something bigger than themselves but lacks the creativity to think of something actually shocking and complex. It just leaves me thinking that the antagonist is really fxxking dumb when an antagonist is supposed to be intimidating and a worthy opponent.
LITERALLY thank you for the spoiler! I literally figured out it was the OG female lead in that Grace character 5 chapters in. Literally the entire time I was thinking they got brainwashed somehow cause a read another story with a similar brainwashing plot and I dropped it cause like bruh what. I read up until chapter 9 then I just gave up and decided to look for spoilers and decide if I wanna read the revenge or not. And omg is this dumb. So her not wanting to do the subjugation and have the three ogML's go to her new body was smart because? I saw another spoiler say her father was part of the plan (which make sense when our FL was looking for information on grace and didn't get much info back because the father obviously interfered) and the end of the plan was to switch her back. So if She wanted to switch back wouldn't that be weird after "Grace" took the MLs??? Grace is literally engaged to Ian...What tf was the thought process? If she wanted to switch them, why tf wasn't it done immediately???? Why wait??? She was literally in a coma basically for 3 months. Do they need to recharge their magic or whatever?? Like you said, this antagonist is dumb af

also wanted to say yeah that’s such a half assed and weird reasoning for her to do that?? like if she was “lazy” why would she go the extra mile to summon someone to replace her and then go the extra mile to pretty much try to reclaim it all back like isn’t that doing the most?? rather than just going with the flow knowing life will be good for u? makes no sense. gotta have good logic…
