honestly, this is one of the few bl manhwa i’ve seen with even a semblance of plot and i’m invested tbh !

the rape is genuinely awful and it’s one of the worst parts of the manhwa. i know there aren’t many “smut” chapters at least and they’re thankfully skippable, but it still sucks.

ilay is an interesting character even tho he’s a horrible person. his actions are irredeemable imo and he’s not a good person, but he seems very well written. he seems very multi-faceted, and it’s interesting to see a little from the ml’s perspective, especially in such a dark story. i like that we get to see what abt taeui drew him in compared to the classic “he was hot so i fell in love” and that his interest wasn’t a love at first sight situation. i wonder how the author plans to proceed with his character.

i actually rlly enjoy taeui as a character. i rlly feel for him and his situation and the way he’s written makes him feel realistic and it makes his emotions and experiences palpable. he’s someone who doesn’t truly have the capacity to hate anyone. and while that can be very irritating as i would like him to fight back, the way he’s written shows how his character and his thoughts are conflicted and i think it adds to the writing overall.

i also like how side characters are tied in and plot points are adding up. it’s interesting to see characters we thought were gone come back.

i’ve seen many people say it’s confusing, but i think it’s very interesting how many parts there are. i feel like if you’re only reading for the relationship, then you’re likely to be disappointed and confused as it is very slow burn and plot driven imo.

tbh, i just need taeui and jaeui to reunite, and i want to see how the weapons, taeui’s position as gilsangcheon, and jaeui’s luck come into play in the scheme of things and what the bigger picture is !
