He didn't know that Gyujin would be in the picture at first nor that he would be abusive, but that situation played an advantage for him. But the thing is if Jihwan wouldn't have been there then it would have been very bad for our MC. So, so far, Jihwan just takes advantages of situations, not create a situation himself though. Also he does probably like the MC , and is attracted to him, otherwise he wouldn't waste any time on him just like he doesn't waste time on his other classmates. Also, I don't think he'll ever physically abuse the MC because that's what Gyujin did and it pushed the MC away. I just want to see what the ML will do when he completely has the MC on his side. What side of him will we get to see? I would bet it would be wild.
