Munryeong's backstory with his dad actually made me cry

YEAH!
Spoiler
His Dad was a mighty general that the cruelty of the war give him PTSD. He met Ryeong as a baby, decided to adopt him and change his way of living. He then live in poverty with Ryeong has many complications as a sickly child. He never, even once has a harsh words or hands on Ryeong despite being a general that has faced many ordeals. I mean by that PTSD he can raise Ryeong with heavy hands, but he didn't. He truly loved Ryeong as his own. I still hate that brother & sister that made Ryeong separated with his dad in a cruel way. Despised it even more when I find out that traitor brother got to marry a woman that rule a place that connect the world and the underworld. I know he betrayed Ryeong to save his underserved sister, but damn! It is so unfair he get that life after ruining someone's.

Am I the only one enjoying these flashback chapters? We are getting so many answers through this (and sequentially too!). The previous seasons/arcs were so cryptic about everything, this is actually refreshing to me. The relationship between Sol and Lorkan, the eventual relationship between the countries and how Derwin came to be anti-magic, and ofc the relationship between Sol and Brian. Ian is a reincarnation of Brian. There's a possibility Ian will inherit Brian's memories so Sol and Brian's relationship will play a critical role in Sol and Ian's eventual relationship. The past is critical in informing the future.
It's unfortunate he's going to become psychopathic and hard to redeem in the future. The spoilers make me so nervous about seeing the MC fall for the ML. They couldve been a very cute duo trying to survive the palace together.
I need spoilers plzzzz
Spoilers? Which ones? Because I saw a few on Ridib*oks but I don't know if they're what you're referring to, I'm still deciding if I want to read this
If you read the comments way back (around May 22) there are a bunch of people who claim to have read the book and summarized some events. Many of them say the ML is psychopathic in some way.
