Okay Im a reddit user so this is gonna be long, heads up

Lily seems like a really naïve and confused girl, she seems really innocent and kind in my opinion.

As you can see when she first met Anna, she literally THROWN herself in front of a man with a dangerous object, JUST to save Anna. She didn't care that Anna is a lowly poor girl.

So when they got older and their love became bigger, Anna acted as if she was undeserving of love, and turned down normal things that lovers do. JUST because shes a maid, and like I said obviously Lily doesn't care that shes a maid.

Also its like Anna was sheltering Lily of lust, because she doesn't want her to become " filthy " like how she saw in her childhood. Lily literally has no idea of the difference between love and lust !

Lily just wanted to be embraced, and be lovers with Anna. So when Anna would act distant and ignore Lily 's acts and displays of affection

Obviously Lily felt distant and not actually loved by that :/ like, " cant we just be together without caring of our roles? "

And so when Lily was persuaded and seduced by someone, who displayed BOTH " love " AND lust. But in my opinion most importantly, honesty.

Anna could never be honest to Lily with her emotions, could never actually say her desires. If Anna couldn't be clear with how she felt to her lover, how could she have been clear that it was actually love? ( thinking through Lily )

But with Rose, she was publicly and confidently bad. Rotten to the core actually, she told Lily what she WANTED to hear, did to Lily what she WANTED to feel. While also staying true to her nature at being fake and evil. She did love her, her body it seems/hj !

She didn't hide this at all, I felt like Lily knew rose didnt love her. And was just using her to replace Anna.So when Anna finally came around, it wasn't enough for Lily. It just didnt feel true, Rose had given Lily a false narrative on what love really was, and she thought she had it.

Everyone's acting like Lily is the villian when it's obviously Rose, Rose made herself look weak. While Lily is literally a people pleaser and will help ANYONE.

At the end Lily is basically empty, she has no choice but to go back to the only thing she knows at this point. Shes lost her dignity so she just gives in I guess

I really love Lily's character I feel like it's realistic, like she just cant make up her mind. I love everyone's character tbh
