That novel is different. You don't even get to see what dick and yuuto look like without that artists beautiful art that I love. that's not part of the novel. I hated the second part of Deadlock if you want the truth. It's bloody awful. After they did the prison part ended, it's not good after that.

And ig liking or not liking depends on perspective. Though I agree the first volume was the best of deadlock, I didn't find the other volumes bad. They were rather good. Specially how she made the Corvus affair end. I think deadlock was her finest. I remember how annoyed I was with Esu. She made it all like a bloody drama that never ends. At one point ya just loose patience and it ain't interesting anymore.
But I agree with keeping the novels and the manga separate. Since I am doing that, and it feels like I see deadlock from another perspective after seeing the manga. I still prefer novels though.

If you're saying the Deadlock novel is preferable over the manga, I've got to add something. I say that Takashinu Yu really brought Deadlock to life. She has to get most of the credit, imo, for the entire project. I think that what ppl forget is that if you read Deadlock in novel form, you have Takashina Yu's fabulous art in your imagination and memory to draw on. I haven't read that much of Saki Aida's DL novel, but her other novels are a trial on my patience. I so agree with you there. SA kills the pleasure by stringing the story out so far that it feels like she's leading the reader by the nose just to keep them reading while being obvious about it. I don't like to be played. When I can see through the story to the money, I stop being pleased with the author for a time. I think her novels are okay, but also an infuriating experience at the same time. Along with the string-out, she will coldly dispose of a character she's made the reader love. She did it with Deadlock, but that's a spoiler I won't reveal. The takeaway from her novels, for me, is that they are okay, even pretty good, but I don't want to go through the emotional roller coaster of reading another.

Since it's such a little thing lemme tell ya. This manga (if it goes according to the novel and some extras) has a happy ending. Yes they end up together.
Actually, I totally understand spoilers aren't a big deal when marked. But when the first arc hadn't ended, a lotta ppl read some cd translations and started posting spoilers. There was no fun left in the manga. So the translators insisted to stop setting spoilers and ruining the fun. That's it. Ya can ask in private messages if ya want someone to.
The only reward these translators get is the reaction of the readers. You have control of whether or not you get these stories and their timely updates. A good way to stop getting the translations and uploads is to continue being ungrateful, continue to react negatively whenever an update comes out. It's hurtful and insulting to those who give theses stories to you.
I know a few of them so you can believe me on this. It's the number one reason why those who do all the hard work of full scanlation translations quit. It's why there's years between updates. It's why the translators and uploaders just quit and wash their hands of these projects. You discourage them. Those who give you this gift of translations are never, or rarely, rewarded for their hard work, which they don't get paid for except by the gratitude of their audience.

Levanag said: if women are forced to participate against men, I believe that there should be some kind of strength ranking system. I fully believe that women are capable of becoming as strong as men, they just need to put in extra effort due to biology. With a strength ranking system, people in matches would be chosen based on their physical ability. It would allow a more even matchup, and I'm sure that most female athletes would see this as fair.

Women don't have the lung capacity, the larger bones, the longer reach, the longer stride, the larger heart, and blood vessels. male to female trans women take estrogen, which strengthens already larger, denser bones. That's why it wouldn't be "women's athletics." It would be completely co-ed. It would take muscle mass, weight, general strength, as well as testosterone and estrogen levels into account. An athlete would be able to decline any match they felt was unfair or that you felt could cause injury to them. I see nothing wrong if the way matches are chosen is with people in the 5 spaces above or below them.

I don't get why Trans would even want to go against women they know they can slaughter. Yet they do. All I hear is trans breaking women's records in running, cycling. It's so obviously unfair. I definitely agree with you on that. That's why every athlete would have the right to decline any match. People have begun to forget that sports are not simply for the enjoyment of spectators, they are also for the enjoyment of the athletes. The major concern of the public should be "Is this fun for the athletes?" not "Is this fun to watch?" I find it disgusting how much people enjoy gore in sporting events.
This may not make much sense, but trans people, especially trans-women, spend most of their lives attempting to escape from the gender they were born with. Most trans-women are not going against cis-women because they want to crush records or hurt people. They want to participate in sports with people of their gender. In their eyes, they are women, not trans-women. I was AFAB (assigned female at birth) and I still identify as partially female at all times. In sports like running and swimming, I much prefer to go against women. On the other hand, when I started learning Ju-jitsu, I preferred to grapple with men instead.
