I dont but maybe because when you come to the age of 18 you have already experience a lot of stuff so you are now more capable of making decisions like an adult also probably because most puberty ends here and that will mean not much of childish behaviour anymore because hormones stops being abnormal idk

That's a good idea but the brain doesn't stop maturing until 25. The 18 age of adulthood had been around quite awhile, way before we understood anything about the brain.

The brain actually doesn't stop developing/growing until 25 years old. The last part to develop is the decision making part & that's why for certain things companies won't let you do or will have higher rates on insurance until you hit 25. At least that's what I read a few years back.

That's correct! However, this law was made before the brain was even considered a realistic topic for study.

No seriously it depends on people puberty strike , it's same with my big sis but when she reached 23 she got a lot now I m amAze by human body sometimes it can surprise you any time in your life in good way or bad way it's all about health or life pattern.

1) secondary organs are well-developed enough for childbirth and
2) it's when most people finished mandatory education?
Because when you have a child, you are expected to be able to care for your newborn, and that needs developed physique and also a certain level of maturity. When you finish mandatory education you are assumed to have enough knowledge to make law-binding decisions, i.e. you will be fully charged if you commit any crime.

That's definitely a part of it. In a culture somewhere around India they would marry young men, 10 to 12 to women in their twenties. That way she could raise her husband and children at the same time. Men usually can reproduce longer then women so once she's unable to have kids, he could take another wife...

as i know the age difference of 5-10 years...is pretty common in india...but it's men who is always older....aaaand, what do you mean by having another wife ,when she no longer can't reproduce???? Uhhh-...you think it's normal and common culture??

Yah in Indian culture used to and still in some places usually younger girls has to marry an older guy or young men cuz they thought girl should marry asap to have chilren and make its own home and perfect age for having child at young age , but about that having 2nd wife is not common it could be part of Islam not sure .

Nope. it's not a part of Islam either... Islam allow to have more than one wives ...but it's just that ,having two wives is not prohibited...it's not NECESSARY.and thare is so much rules and things that the man should take care of before the second marriage... most importantly THE CONSENT OF FIRST WIFE IS MUST. And there shouldn't be an inequality with treating them.. and more than that, it's always preferable to maintain proper family relationship with one wife in Islam...

I studied the law and history of Islam for 8 years...but it was 5 years ago ..So thare might be some missing... however having multiple wives is not a strict rule, in Islam...and especially when it's come to Indian culture its very very RARE ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Ohh i did read it in my highschool years in history now I have history as major I hope to read more thanx for info , and yes early ages in India are common but in villages not in cities things are different in india due to have diversity some eastern part of people don't Marry before 30 and having stable life by both partners and some in southern is same but in northern things are different . Hence arrange marriages are common which is sound worst for some reason .

It was definitely an ancient custom, I'm not really interested in modern day history lol. It may not have been in India either, I watches it along time ago
