i just re-read this and tried paying more attention to Ilay and realized two things
1 he’s literally been hardcore in love with tay from very early on, obviously hes in denial, but for some reason the first time i read this i was definitely more into xinlu being the ml and so i wasnt really paying attention to him, but wowa this man is farrrr gone. Its also hilarious how down bad he is.
2 he’s not THAT bad, idk why he keeps getting lumped in with psychos like zhenya, this kid would rather take a bullet than let tay get seriously injured, he’s obsessed with him and not planning to ever actually kill tay, which i think is very apparent from the last few chaps (I haven’t read the book so fingers crossed I’m actually right about this lol). Not to mention tay is JUST as bad, like he tied the man to a bed did … that (which is lowkey worse than anything ilay has done to him up to this point). That being said, I really love Ilay so much and I love this manwha.
