Honestly this is a really well written story if we focus only on the two protagonists and no one else. I do get a bit bored at some parts, even if they are essential for the plot (like who's that blue hair guy again lol), do not like that the younger brother is in love with his sister and how the adopted parents don't realize how disgusting and difficult it would be for Lariette to change her mindset to properly marry a guy who she saw as a brother her whole life. Like she grew up as a common woman, not in the monarchy where you're brainwashed to think incest to this level is okay. Growing up as maybe like cousins might be pushing it but as siblings is where you gotta draw the line. And I honestly don't care for Tori. Her death in the previous timeline is more interesting than her immortal-loli-assassin thing going on. Like I lost all interest once her true nature was revealed because she's a walking edgy 80s-90s shoujo trope. I mean this whole manwha seems to be a modern 80s-90s edgy shoujo trope.
I swear I usually get bored after the couple gets together but these two are SO CUTE ヾ(❀≧∇≦)~ I think its cuz the uke actually enjoys the sex regardless of context and it's all harmless fun in the end since they really do be loving each other and no long failed communication.

Reading this again, and the genderbend felt unnecessary. It just made Sho's character worse by leaning into bad manga stereotypes.
My brain really did need to transition from the Baki vibe to Street Fighter vibe to get with this sequel ( ￣□￣||). But I can't take any of it seriously or have fun either. They story did get interesting when they went to Ohma's childhood home, but everything else feels all over the place and I've been disappointed in the fight matches. They should've tried to cut down on characters and certain matches, and put them into specials like Kengan 0. Not because they're uninteresting, but because it feels that they're either slowing down or forcing the plot to rush to compensate for something. (￣ε(#￣)Σ
ikr? personally i would have liked for kengan asura to just stay as it is without the omega sequel. it felt much more well structured and even tho it's story wasn't something phenomenal it was still a fun ride and ohma's passing still stays in my mind as one of the most beautiful deaths I've seen. the visual of the sun setting symbolizing his life ending still brings tears to my eyes.
it was an amazing end for such a character.
but then.... omega happened...like.........why? i mean i guess it kinda expanded on the story of ohma's master but other than that the addition of the whole clones and the connector makes no sense to me.
tbh im just sticking around for that final showdown they mentioned they will organize because they said "all underground fighting associations will take place" and as being hinted plenty of times before, kengan and baki happen in the same universe and im just waiting for my lil short king to come in, obliterate everyone and give an end to this mess of a story.
also i have this funny headcannon that yujiro has no idea the connector exists and someone casually goes to him, points at jackie and yujiro just demolishes him then and there.
It's a good manwha without the unnecessary heaviness. I like how the bad friend is just an asshole and not a leeching sociopath. I like how the seme is emotionally dysfunctional but not an idiot. I like how problems are solved efficiently and how there's not a lot of inner dialogue. They're also very expressive so it's not like reading a wall. The dad character is a nuisance but I guess he was just trying to keep things normal and not make the uke feel pitied since he didnt double down on his attitude. The mom is a lot like her son but there's definitely emotion behind it that you can tell by her face alone that she does love her husband and boys. I like how the coping is being dealt with. The little brother is my favorite character cuz he's cute. The cafe guy is my least favorite but only because he's only one note. I genuinely do hope that he gets a happy ending despite being a selfish romantic.
The story is good but I cant help but sense some underlying homophobia, but it's all from Ines' point of view so it may just be her aloof personality that's giving the wrong impression.

It also doesnt help that it's set in a historical setting with heavy religious symbolism. The story doesnt need good gay representation or anything since many similar stories go without it and even make a joke about it between two good male friends. But the fact that homosexuality is brought up as a problem twice just flares up my red flags.

sorry for putting my two cents but i think i read some novel spoilers where it stated that ines wasn’t very fond of mlm (could even be stated she was homophobic) bc of the prince sleeping with whoever (didn’t matter their gender) which resulted ines getting like infected with numerous amounts of sexual transmitted diseases which led to her distaste of yk what… so honestly i don’t blame you for getting that impression
Hmmm. Maybe it was explicitly stated in the novel or maybe I have forgotten then. I only remember her hating the crown prince because of the person he is that brought harm to her in every aspect. He hurt her verbally, physically, sexually and then publicly humiliated her too. And if I remember right she kept losing children too because of him.

It took 240 chapters, but now I feel like the story is returning back to a better vibe. (づ￣ ³￣)づ The rest before it felt like a ton of exposition thrown at us since it's all new characters while building on old ones. I dont care for a lot of them but the story masters at making them unforgettable even after not reading for 6 months.
Also as weird as the plot is, it's not overcomplicated so it's easy to understand everyone's motivations. Although Tiger-cloning jiminy cricket-brain plot is a rehash of the final villain with the multiple personalities disorder trope but more chilled. Like it was still a surprise ╮(￣▽￣)╭ but kinda thought mangakas abandoned that trope past 2020 so like even more of a surprise I guess.
