Wtf is Anastasia anyways Is it like a nuke or smt. The suspense is actually tweaking me out.
I gave up on the romance ages ago but at least the premise is still interesting so ill keep watching it. But i wouldn’t mind getting spoiled on what the frick Anastasia actually is.
it’s a weapon (type not specified) that was being developed in a joint operation by russia & north korea but the development failed so the bogdanovs (zhenya) got rid of the researchers in development so that nothing of “anastasia the ultimate weapon ” leaks including the fact that the development failed. it’s not really known what type of weapon it is but the idea of it’s existence is enough to instill anxiety in the other global superpowers esp US & SKorea.
@yaoiphile explained the weapon and ill just tell you that it's totally worth the read but it's def gonna b hard at times lol but the story is so worth it w the plot twists in it both on taekjoo's part and on zhenya's part and that ofc includes anastasia
Thank you both I’m definitely gonna be focusing on the action aspect of this one cuz the romance is questionable
id say it gets better (i’ve read the novel till vol 5ish). taekjoo is a very strong and tenacious mc which i’d say is one of his admirable qualities. so when you see their romance developing, it feels organic as in you can see taekjoo’s psychologically and emotionally conscious of what he feels for zhenya. he’s one of my fave mcs among all of the ones i’ve read in kr-novels. i love the scenes in the novel where u get to see his “softness” and compassion (remember he can be very caring he’s a mama’s boy).
he’s also very shrewd you’ll get to see how more bad ass he can get.
zhenya grew up very dysfunctionally so he doesn’t know how to process and articulate all the various emotions he has when he’s with taekjoo. so far u can see all he cares about is alleviating his boredom and taekjoo is perfect for that. (he interests zhenya like he’s a toy)
but when they spend time together, zhenya’s emotions metamorphose and u see him trying to understand feelings of romantic attraction (past sexual desire…cuz they have lots of sex lol) while lacking the basic understanding of empathy and love, that should have been instilled in him by his family.
Taekjoo is definitely the best character in this story for me. I do enjoy his scenes very much, hopefully the romance gets better but zhenya definitely set the bar very low from the beginning
