It also ruins the development that went on about his character, in a way that makes him so much of a hypocrite and unlikable (like i couldnt appreciate his confession coz of how the issue escalated in the first place). I get that he's been the type to misunderstand on his own, but purposefully writing him as someone who'd take a step further to create this type of misunderstanding is so disappointing.
Man, fuck this. This manga was in my best of list for YEARS, and now I have to take it off because of this pedo bullshit. That plot device seems like such an excuse to write this shotacon stuff, there are a thousand different ways you could move the story forward and the author chooses this
