WinglessCrow's manga / #Romance(256)

Back to School

Complete | Oryu | 2019 released

I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH! Aaa, it is rare to see yaoi manga that tackles with sexual assult seriously and the main character doesn't end up with their abuser. Here we have a high school boy who was assulted by who he thought was his best friend. We see him struggle with the trauma and pain after such a traumatic event. We see him trying to close himself off for everyone and when he ends up in a relationship in the end it's with someone that respects him and wants to grow with him. I absolutely loved this one.

A Shoulder to Cry On

Complete | Dongmul | 2000 released

This one was a hidden gem! It absolutely blew my expectations away. So good!

Biting the Tiger

Complete | Mindal Park | 2000 released

This one also surprised me. I avoided it for the longest time, because i thought it was some furry story where the main character falls inlove with a tiger, which is not for me at all, but thankfully this was so much more than that. I was pleasently surprised.

Behind The desk

Complete | day7,evy | 2000 released

One of my all time favorites! This story does everything right. The artstyle is gorgeous, the characters are likeable, and it also teaches us that we should never settle for a toxic relationship. Our MC breaks free to find himself, because his toxic ex has erased his identity, when he does that he finds love again. His new partner is supportive, loving and communicates with him, when they have problems they resolve it. Such a good adult story, without the usual bad tropes in yaoi. I absolutely love everything about it.

Walk on Water

Complete | Jaxx,Jang Mokdan | 2000 released

So mature. So well done. Great art, great storytelling. I love that the creators don't shy away from discussing how harmful and traumatic the porn industry can be. The inner monologues of Ed and McQuinn are great. The sentences are so poetic. I absolutely loved Ryan, he was great relatable character, who just happened to involve himself in this shitty industry, but he strived to be better and build a better life and work for a better future for himself and his daughter, plus no matter what he was always so nice, respectful and a good friend to Ed. The only thing i didn't like was that whole Cheng mess and that he raped Ed. It was unecessary, disgusting and i think Ed should've seeked therapy after that. Fuck Cheng!

Koi wo Suru Tsumori wa Nakatta

Koko made Yaru towa Kiitenai!

Complete | Matsushita yuuki,Yuki matsushita | 2019 released

These two are so adorable. Everything was a little fast paced for my taste, but it's a cute story.

Playtime with Hakdo

Complete | AM | 2000 released

This one is just on another level of amazing! The art is absolutely gorgeous and sensual. The characters are lovable. And the progression of their relationship is so natural and nice. There are no cringey tropes that authors usually use in yaoi. I really love it!

Doushitemo Furetakunai

Complete | yoneda kou | 2008 released

I hate the "straight guy falls inlove with a guy but still continues to insists that he is straight". It's like authors have never heard of bisexual people before. It would be nice if we have a character that admits they might be bisexual or not straight when they fall inlove with a man, instead of insisting on "i was always normal until now". Other than that this story was nice, i loved how the love interest always reassured the MC and actually fought for him. The scene where he kisses him on the hotel room's door lives rent-free in my mind.

Boku no Omawarisan

Complete | Niyama | 2017 released

I love this one sooo much. The only thing i have problem with is the fact that the MC didn't have luck with women and he was like "maybe i should try dating men", which implies that gay/lesbian people actually choose their sexualities, which is such a harmful trope. Aside from that this one is the perfect combination of humour, sweet love story and two characters that grow together, communicate and build a life that brings them happiness. It has a lot of realistic aspects to it and i like it. Shin is adorable and great partner.
