Sarah Everard's Law is based on Sarah's murder case, this law is a proposal so the criminal defense team can't build an argument about what the victim was wearing when she was kidnapped
I read some tiktok and social media comments that blamed her clothing as the reason why she was kidnapped, and maybe this petition was also based on that, I'll upload her last seen picture (of what she was wearing)
It's infuriating how abusers always use this excuse. It's fucking 2021 and we're still hearing people agree on such an ancient judgment. IT IS NOT WHAT THEY'RE WEARING. It never is. A fucking abuser will abuse even an infant. And the ppl who agreed with the murderer needs to do reconsider their belief system. Stop victim blaming. reply
