Duke Ergy is definitely a double agent but I think the reason people don't hate him is because Rashta meeting the emperor and "falling in love" isn't his fault. Like he definitely encourages her to make the worst choices possible and takes advantage of her ignorance but that's it. Basically Rastha is a bitch digging her own grave Ergy just gave her a better shovel.
