What are yall's opinions? (Spoilers)

So I read the spoilers and it seems Kael doesn't want to punish Diana.

I get that some people believe Fiana should have suffered more but if the guy who suffered because of her doesn't give two shits anymore then isn't it a win anyway? Diana still loses everything. Kael and Hestia didn't have to get their hands dirty.

Obviously he doesn't forsake revenge because he cares for Diana, or because he was picking a side, he just wants to put the past behind him, which is a good thing. He wants to forget about everything and move forward with his life with Hestia. At this point if she wanted revenge it wasn't for Kael anymore, it was only for herself, but in Kael's name. At least this is what I feel. She wanted to jump of the balcony because she felt she has no purpose anymore and Kael consoles her and tells her it isn't true and she now fully believes in Kael's affection for her, which is also good. Now they both don't care about Diana anymore and everyone's moved on.

What are your opinions and why are people hating on Kaelus?

I kinda get his decision actually. If I was in his shoes and see Diana and Helios dig their own graves w their horrible ass decisions, I'd leave them alone too lol

I also get Hestia's obsession for revenge bc that was literally her newfound purpose after finding out she can't return to her prev life anymore

Another thing we forget is that he didnt give up just randomly he was doing his duty as a duke for the kingdom to prevent as much of unnecessary tension that could come about from his actions. Like obv him not accusing diana helps the emperor and diana the most but he also was doing things that would result in the minimal amount of chaos from the public in addition to wanting to focus on his relationship with uh fuck i forgot the black haired ladys name

I have few reasons that I have gathered from forums.

    1. He wanted to leave everything behind and live for himself yet he went along with every plans hestia made.
    2. Hestia was obssessed with revenge, but may be....may be persuation from Kael would have stopped her. I dont mean just saying no, dont do it , do that! More like, he should have shown his actions why he does not want revenge.
    3. Lacks communication skill, they both do but Kael is worst.
    4. Readers are more dissapointed after kael dismissed that petition to dethrone Diana. More importantly did not discuss it with hestia. That was Hestias long awaited plan and he knew it beforehand still went ahead with it.
    5. By the time he realized he is in love with Hestia and really, truly wants to focus on them it was too late and boi did not even properly convey it to hestia and effed her directly before going to some kind of war or sth.
There are some more but I dont remember.
Actuallt, both of them are quite right at their own position. Kael wanting to leave behind his oast and hestia wanting revenge since she saw kaels depression and last moment in her previous life. They dont communicate at all. Thats Kael's flaw, huge flaw. He wants to focus on Hestia and him but does not tell that to her so she went ahead with the elaborate revenge plan. He wants to minimize the chaos yet does not discuss it with Hestia especially when Hestia is the one causing chaos . It looks like he is opposing hestia and probably this is what she thought as well. about that dismiss plan, the crown prince asked him for a favour yet he did not tell it Hestia even though he has many chances in the fear that it might cause some sort of rift or maybe just to cut off the head straight so that it does not cause future trouble but imagine, everybody/public and aristrocrats knows that Hestia concocated the plan to dethrone, yet her husband opposed it publicly. So iits like slapping her infront of thar crowd.( If i am going to be slapped by my boyfriend in public, at least let me know beforehand so that I can do some damage control; not that I will allow that, just an example.)I am also one of the people who does not like his attitude.

I agree with this tho, he should've communicated his reasons for not wanting to dethrone Diana. There certainly was room for misunderstanding too

In my opinion kael fears losing of Hestia because she gives the vibes of "I dedicate my life for this revenge" and because of that he thinks she doesn't have any other interests that make him insecure because he love her and thinks after her revenge she could leave him and lost her in interest to life. He doesn't talk because he is really afraid of losing her now , he doesn't went to go against her even when he disagree sometimes

Actually he did it because Helios begged him not to do it because it would upset the balance of power. If it became known that nobles could oust members of the royal family, then the nobles could seize control of the monarchy.

So as others have said, Kael put his duty as an influential Duke ahead of any personal feelings (he actually was going to go through with the original plan to make Hes happy), and squashed this attempt to oust Diana.

He was going to tell Hes after the fact, but she heard what happened and had an moment of crisis, due to her feeling like she’d lost her purpose in being in this world (again, unlike other FLs who find themselves in a novel, Hes still believed that this was just a story), which traumatized Kael. Afterwards Helios had to explain what happened and finally made a breakthrough in Hes’ delusion about her current life (in that it is a story book).

Of course, Kael’s sacrifice ended up being for nothing really, because after Kael and Hes have a child… Helios gave Diana an ultimatum, either she starts acting like a true royal (including producing an heir) or she abdicates and returns to the temple. In the end, Diana abdicates, because she cared more about herself than Helios. Helios then found a new wife who was kind and they had a child together.

Yeah! His fear is one of the reason why maybe he did not talk to hestia regardding that dethrone issue before. He must have thought something along the line that if he tells her at that moment, they might fall out.

Yeah! This is my point like he was asked by Helios and could have relayed it the same to Hestia before he decided to do it publicly. it would have given hestia some time to damage control.... Another reason why I said they both were quitw correct at what they were doing, just lacked communication to show they understand each other and doing evrything for each other! A lot of touble would be solved with a simple communication bu yeah, Kael really gave Diana a chance but she did not really use it wisely. Well, dianas ending was miserable so i guess hestias revenge was successful. The fact that Kael gave a chance to Diana due to Helios pisses me off....
