I don't know much about time when it comes to updates.
However, updates should appear under your notifications. Make sure any manga which you want updates from is marked as "reading".
The manga you add into READING or READ list, will automatically activate manga update notification function.
And every time the manga has an update, there will be a notification sent to you. Click on the notification button.
All updated manga will appear from newest updates at the top down to oldest updates. And those which are updated in the same time period will be grouped together side-by-side.
The way in which you can access a book on your notifications is the same process from the home-page. Click on the manga's cover photo.
It should direct you to the book's main profile so you can choose from the chapters to read.

I stayed up till 4am once and didn’t get updates I think for me I get them at 7am... I think everyone has a different update time depends on where u live
