The characters are paper thin, possessing a few traits that will convience the story, their actions often contradict and they have no motive. Glorifying rape/abuse as well, sending out a bad message of 'get back with your old ex toxic bf! forgive him and life is dandy!'. I couldn't even bother feeling sorry for the main character (who was raped btw) due to the fact he is a dumbass, lacks any type of character and that he had many times to escape, yet didn't?

agreed. the story satisfies generally no one. the sex isn't nice because it's forced and even if you have a rape kink the poor representation and not even stockholm syndrome but stupidity that the characters have is a turn off. the plot also made literally no sense and was more "but why?" than anything. in all you just lost brain cells trying to understand why the characters did what they did and why the plot was progressing like this.
