He's not Agni. That is absolutely for sure. He doesn't look like him, he doesn't have the same fighting style, Agni wouldn't be serving RCiel over OCiel (or either of them over Soma), Agni's body was cremated, and his soul was reaped. He is gone. It is, 100%, NOT Agni.
In fact, it's probably the exact opposite. This is most the likely the guy that KILLED Agni. Agni had the same (or a similar) knife sticking out of his back.
While there's really no evidence to back it up, I think it's this guy:

For one, he does have a similar face shape. Obviously there are no visible defining characteristics of Polaris, but this guy looks more similar to him than Agni did. We know he's a butler, and we know he died. Since he was a head servant of Phantomhive, it would make sense why he'd be extensively loyal to RCiel, especially if he'd be directly serving him as the master someday. Or maybe, as an evolved bizarre doll, his memories have been altered, and he thinks RCiel is Vincent. Either way, he'd be willing to kill for him.
And also this:

RCiel does briefly consider him (Polaris) for the head butler position. It would make sense.

Research defense? What's that?
I was mainly confused with everyone assuming it was Agni. Besides the fact Polaris doesn't look like him, Agni is dead; there's no way he's coming back. So I did some rereading in the chapters where "a butler" would be present, and I came across this guy. Like I said, there's really nothing but speculation to back it up.
We gonna get Bard's backstory WOOOO
A cave of rotting corpses is the best setting for a tea party. Very atmospheric, Sebastian.
I'm probably gonna regret it, but I'm liking Ada's conflict so far. Someone who genuinely gives up something for what she believes to be the greater good. Unlike Jane, who was in it for the money and had no moral stake in blood collecting. However, I think that conflict is gonna get her killed by Lau, since she's technically against the earl and knows the truth. Or maybe she'll survive like Jane did.
I hope and I think she will be a loyal servant to ciel in the end. I don't think ciel will kill her, because she has good intentions. Maybe ciel will support her hospital in the future.
Yeah I hope our Ciel opens a hospital for her in the end.
